I just knew that Victoria and Joshua were going to be a blast. When they approached me to photograph their wedding one of the things I asked them was to write me something about themselves. If you start an e-mail like this, then you definitely got my attention: "I think one of the things we really like about Philly is venturing into new places. This speaks to our love for adventures, more specifically, adventures with each other. Most times this means we are looking for new places to eat that are tucked away in the city, but other times we just venture around and pick something spontaneous....we go where the belly calls us! When the adventure doesn't revolve around food, we like to walk around and make the city our playground." So here is our Philadelphia's Magical Garden shoot --- while also venturing into the city. Enjoy and share!
In two weeks, these two are going to tie the knot. Here are a few photos from our sunrise shoot on a private farm.
It's always fun to meet your newest clients at a wedding you previously shot. Christiana and Liang wanted to have their engagement photos shot at the Philadelphia Art Museum, and we had a blast. I'm looking forward to their wedding in September, I hear their may be some Chinese wedding traditions! And I'm especially looking forward to that 10-course meal they told me so much about, looks like I'll have to be instagraming every plate.
Julia and I have been friends since high school. We were involved in orchestra and chorale, and I am thrilled to be shooting Julia and John's wedding this March! Julia and John's love story began inside the halls of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. So when we were discussing places to photograph, it was pretty evident that we needed to get some photographs there. Philadelphia is a big part of their lives, so it was fun to visit the city again (after all I did live there at one point of my life). This is definitely the city of love.
True story. I get this e-mail from Chelsea telling me how much she loves my photographs, and then I look a little closer at her last name... we went to the same high school and sang together in our high school chorale! I guess my last name tricked her... So after bouncing ideas about places to take their engagement photos, a good friend of mine recommended that we take them at Brookside Tree Farm in Bath, PA. This place is a hidden gem! We are so thankful for the owners for allowing us to photograph on their property. Sometime this summer, I'll be posting wedding photos of these two! Their wedding is in June, and I'm really looking forward to it especially because it sounds so picturesque. Merry engagement Chelsea + Stephen!
