Julia and I have been friends since high school. We were involved in orchestra and chorale, and I am thrilled to be shooting Julia and John's wedding this March! Julia and John's love story began inside the halls of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. So when we were discussing places to photograph, it was pretty evident that we needed to get some photographs there. Philadelphia is a big part of their lives, so it was fun to visit the city again (after all I did live there at one point of my life). This is definitely the city of love.
I'm excited to share these with you. I love it when old friends, like Filipe, step back into your life and include me in their most special moments. It's times like these that I know that I've stepped into the right profession. If you like what you see --- hit the share button at the end of this post!
First of all I'd like to say, when I was editing these photos I listened to Suite for Solo Cello No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007: I. Prelude on repeat for several days. Melissa is one of my best friends from high school, we played in orchestra together. Now she is a professional cellist -- which makes Melissa and Clair's story pretty sweet, because Clair is also a professional musician. They knew each other back in their college days, but didn't really start dating until they went on a Broadway tour of South Pacific. I'm so excited to share these photographs with you because everything in this photo shoot was carefully thought out and I love that they wanted to take photos with their instruments at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown, PA. We did their outdoor photos at the Allentown Rose Garden where Clair proposed! I am really looking forward to shooting your wedding in June Melissa and Clair!
Two weekends ago I had the chance to photograph and film this surprise proposal right behind the Art Museum in Philly. Chris came up with a crazy plan in order to make Victoria believe she was taking a video survey to get a discount at the Water Works Restaurant. She fell for it (good --- because I was getting nervous --- err -- maybe Chris was getting nervous). Here are the pictures!
